Summary:The coordination chemistry of CH 2(S 2CNR 2) 2 for R = Me, Et, n-Bu and benzyl with Au(I), Au(III) and Ag(I) is examined. The single crystal X-ray diffraction study of CH 2[S 2CN(CH 2Ph) 2] 2 is described. Nineteen new complexes are characterized by IR, 1H, 19F, 31P (when appropriate) NMR, elemental analysis, mass spectra (FAB) and conductivity measurements. Neutral and cationic mono- and dinuclear species have been synthesized. The coordination chemistry of CH 2(S 2CNR 2) 2 is via the CS functionality.
