Vitamin B 12 and nucleic acid production in Euglena

1. 1. Vitamin B 12-deficient Euglena had a 12% decrease in total nucleic acid, calculated both on a dry-weight and a cell-N basis. 2. 2. No alteration of RNA/DNA ratios was observed in B 12-deficient cells. 3. 3. Perchloric acid extraction of nucleic acids was applicable to Euglena.
