Summary:Thepaper deals with problems of criminal law and criminal procedure for the crimes in the sphere of economic and business activity in the context of the reform by Russian legislators from 2003 to the present time, based on the current trend towards liberalization and humanization of Criminal law and Criminal procedure Acts, in respect of certain categories of people, in particular, businessmen and other people engaged in economic activities. This study shows the most significant steps taken in this direction by reforming the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the most actual problems in law enforcement in this category of criminal cases on the basis of the current state policy in the field of criminal law regulation and the current economic situation in the country.
