Research progress in the relationship between PREX1 gene and tumor pathogenesis

Phosphatidylinositol-3, 4, 5-triphosphate-dependent Rac exchange factor 1 (PREX1) is a coding gene that is abnormally expressed in a variety of tumors. As a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (RacGEF) of small GTP binding protein Rac1, PREX1 gene-encoded protein can form PREX1/Rac pathway through ac...

Summary:Phosphatidylinositol-3, 4, 5-triphosphate-dependent Rac exchange factor 1 (PREX1) is a coding gene that is abnormally expressed in a variety of tumors. As a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (RacGEF) of small GTP binding protein Rac1, PREX1 gene-encoded protein can form PREX1/Rac pathway through activating Rac1, crosstalk with a variety of classical signaling pathways, participate in the regulation of various receptor reactions in the tumor process, affect the epithelial-mesenchymal transformation process of the tumor microenvironment and play a role in tumor proliferation, metastasis and prognosis.
