The motives of participants in mergers and acquisitions are investigated, as well as the impact of such transactions on organizations. The analysis of the state of the M&A market from 2014 to 2021 was carried out. Recommendations are given to Russian companies on the conclusion of mergers and acquisitions in the current geopolitical situation.
