Summary:The article highlights the problem of modular education design in higher educational institutions that corresponds to the ideology of modernization and the modern development of initiative groups. The article presents the practices of structural content designing of the educational module, developed by a team of Minin University researches. The authors consistently reveal the mechanism of goal setting, structure and content design of the module. Bases for designing of the modules are system, activity-based and learner-centered approaches. Methodological solution to the simulation module names and subjects, formulation of goals and objectives, describe the purpose of the module and its status are presented. The focus is on inclusion in the module not only the classical disciplines and practices, but also educational events. The logical end of the module studies is the development of the final certification program of the module.
