Summary:The article is devoted to the semantic-motivational analysis of the phraseosemantic field "SPACE" in Russian, Ukrainian and Czech languages. On the basis of phraseological units, verbalizing concepts of FAR and CLOSE, MOVEMENT, BEING INSIDE THE SPACE and OUTGOING, there was determined a set of images used to express the spatial semantics by means of phraseology as well as the motivational dominants of them. Also, there are described the generalized spatial and locative features of space, in particular, the concepts of OWN and OTHER, reflected in phraseological units, taking into account the culturological constituent of their semantics and motivations.
