Objective To investigate the effect of the LEARNS psychological care model in weight management of patients with obese polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Methods A total of 75 obese PCOS patients admitted to the obesity clinic of a tertiary comprehensive hospital in Tianjin from March 2021 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group of 40 cases and an observation group of 35 cases using the coin toss method. The control group received routine weight loss treatment, while the observation group received LEARNS psychological nursing interventions on the basis of routine weight loss treatment. Primary indexes were body weight/Body Mass Index (BMI), Body Fat Percentage(FBP), Visceral Fat Area(VFA), assessment on dietary and exercise behavior, psychological evaluation and metabolic indicators.
