Summary:Alexander Herzen called brothers the heroes of the new Russian literature Chatsky and Onegin. Usually, there are both similarities and differences between brothers. In modern literary studies this problem has not been considered in detail yet. The author makes significant clarifications in the understanding of the characters, which is facilitated by the understanding of the creative history and the direction of the ideological searches of Griboyedov and Pushkin. Chatsky’s thoughts rise to the level of revelation.
