Summary:In this article we present the results obtained with the research “Alternative experiences of political action”, whose aim was to understand, from a historical, hermeneutical approach, how young people get involved with political action experiences that manage to institute alternative dynamics of building a country in view of significant political and socio-historical developments in the last decade in Colombia. The results presented in this article make reference to the understanding achieved in terms of: the collective frameworks built by the subjects of the experiences so as to orient and signify their political practices in terms of events, objectives and actions and the expansion of the senses of the political issues that the young people undergoing these experiences have been devising from their affectations, relations, mobilizations, and creations. In that sense, the scope of the article is to make these other places and forms of the political issues visible and audible on the same level of legitimacy and these young people have very often created them outside the margin of institutionalization, and some other times they have done so within or side by side it, by recognizing the specificity of local contexts, practices and senses in which they develop and of the political, economic and social regularities that historically link the experiences of the subjects and groups that inhabit geographically different territories.
