Summary:In this study, the suitability of playgrounds according to age groups in the center of Aydın, their distribution within the settlement, and their service radius were examined. Playgrounds are divided into three groups: 6-23 months, 2-5 years, and 5-12 years, depending on age. When examining the accessibility of playgrounds, a service radius of 200 m for 6-23 months, 350 m for 2-5 years, and 500 m for 5-12 years was taken into account. The service radius of playgrounds was analyzed in the "ArcMap 10.7" program by "Buffer analysis". Although the Cumhuriyet neigh-borhood 6-23 months group has the best accessibility in terms of playgrounds, it has been determined that this is insufficient. Playgrounds for groups of 6-23 months are not accessible in all neighborhoods. Meşrutiyet neighbor-hood has the highest accessibility for children ages 2-5 in terms of playgrounds. Playgrounds for ages 2-5 cannot fully meet the accessibility values. Playgrounds for children aged 5-12 are accessible in half of the existing neigh-borhoods. It has been determined that children's playgrounds in the center of Aydın are not accessible. As a result of the study, it was found that playgrounds are not planned based on the service radius.
