Summary: | Migraine is a common chronic neurovascular disease, which is characterized by recurrent unilateral or bilateral pulsatile moderate to severe headache, mainly the unilateral headache. Migraine patients can be accompanied by orofacial pain, or even isolated orofacial pain. At present, the association between migraine and orofacial pain has not been fully elucidated. In this article, research progresses on orofacial pain in migraine patients were introduced. The epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and diagnostic criteria of orofacial pain in patients with migraine were illustrated, aiming to improve the capabilities of clinicians in the diagnosis and treatment of migraine patients with orofacial pain. |
