Summary:Objective To analyze the safety and effectiveness of umbilical moxibustion with Traditional Chinese Medicine plaster combined with massage for constipation in treating Qi-deficiency type constipation in elderly patients with myocardial infarction. Methods Ninety patients with Qi-deficiency constipation complicated by myocardial infarction were selected as the research subjects and divided into a control group and an observation group, with 45 patients in each group. The observation group received umbilical moxibustion with Traditional Chinese Medicine plaster combined with massage for constipation, while the control group received abdominal massage nursing for constipation. The improvement of constipation was evaluated by scoring the main and secondary symptoms, as well as using the Wexner Constipation Scoring Scale, etc. , and the occurrence of adverse events was observed.
