Summary:Toxoplasma gondii serum prevalence was established in 378 women in ambulatory care at the hospital of Yopal (Casanare, Colombia). 51 (13.5%) women were pregnant. Indirect inmuno fluorescen gave 76.7% positive serum women which agrees with other studies in low, humid tropical zones. Positive results increased rapidly and significantly with age. 76.2% of serum-positive women had titers less or equal to 1:256, while 23.8% of them had titers over 1:1024. We could not  stablished an association between positive results and several cultural and behavioral parameters, except with the number of children.
