Summary:Generally, the representation of heterogeneous surfaces with itsform and color study involves the creation of complex three-dimensionalmodels both for methodologies used in the acquisitionand metric information management and accuracy that you wantto obtain. The reproduction, used to create virtual models, supposes some issuesabout the meaning of the term: produce again an object meansto know it metrically with an accuracy defi ned a priori depending onthe chosen representation scale. The creation of a digital replica highlights a number of issues thatmust be analyzed to come to a suitable knowledge: the defi nition ofappropriate survey methodologies of sculptural elements in interventionareas (construction carried out on scaffolding); the availabletools for the characterization of forms depending on accuracyand payloads; the next step of data modeling including cleaning andfi ltering phase of raw data; the fi nal stage of presentation models.
