Summary:Bedrock wear is statistically one of the major causes of submarine cable failure. Therefore, a new submarine cable monitoring system is developed. First, a long-distance multi-node synchronous acquisition method is proposed to establish a shape reconstruction and positioning model of the submarine cable. Then, sensors, acquisition boards, control boards, 4G wireless transmission and battery modules are developed, and a submarine cable monitoring system based on the MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) sensor array is built. Finally, high-intensity magnetic environment test, pressure test, accuracy test of the sensor array, and long-term monitoring of submarine cables in the landing section in Zhujiajian prove that the system can monitor displacement of submarine cables and remotely transmit the monitoring data in real time.
