Summary: | In certain pathologies such as coronary disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, congenital sticky platelet syndrome, platelets would develop hyperactivity, that could increase the risk, associated with other factors, for thrombotic complications. Increased re-activity could be assessed by light transmission ag-gregometry, using ADP and epinephrine agonists at sub-aggregating or submaximal concentrations.
