Summary:This article presents the energy evaluation of the air conditioning and refrigeration system of a riverine patrol and supply ship built by Cotecmar (Science and Technology Corporation for the Development of Naval, Maritime and Riverine Industries) for the Colombian Navy. The calculation was developed with the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (Sname) methodology; this was complemented with the Trane Corporation methodology: “coil curves”. Equipment based in the obtained results were proposed, these were compared with the units installed in the ship, determining energy and economic savings when these are used.
