Summary: | The article dialogues with studies on race relations in basic education and with studies on implementation of educational policies and presents the results of qualitative research that aimed to identify and measure the available evidence of implementation of anti-racist educational practices in 86 public elementary schools in the city of São Paulo based on the analysis of their political-pedagogical projects. The methodology was based on the analysis of the content of these documents using the instrument Matrix for the Evaluation of the Political Pedagogical Project - Anti-Racist Education in Elementary Education (MAP³- EAEF). The results indicate that the evidence of the work to combat racism in school available in the Political Pedagogical Projects is fragile and insufficient. In particular, the commitment to objective goals of racial equity between blacks and non-blacks is not very explicit in the documents analyzed. |
