Summary:Object: The relevance of the topic of public administration of the urbanization process is primarily due to the fact that Kazakhstan is striving to achieve the level of urbanization of 70% and by 2050 to become one of the 30 most developed countries, since cities are the driving force of economic growth in Kazakhstan. The purpose of the study is, firstly, to make a modern analysis of urbanization in Kazakhstan, and secondly, to develop recommendations for improving the organizational mechanism of urbanization management. The subject of the scientific work is the peculiarities of domestic and foreign experience of this policy, its theoretical, conceptual and applied aspects. Methods: within the framework of scientific work, the following methods were used: statistical, methods of scientific analysis and synthesis, methods of logical modeling and decomposition. Findings: Often, the high costs associated with the creation and maintenance of all these types of infrastructure are not irrevocable costs, but rather investments in the policies of other sectors. Conversely, it may also happen that high-quality infrastructure stimulating one sector will have negative consequences in another sector. Therefore, it is extremely important to have a comprehensive approach. Conclusions: It is necessary to improve the institutional conditions, which are a set of interrelated regulatory, legal, programmatic, methodological and other documents regulating the activities of state management bodies, economic entities and the population in order to create conditions for the sustainable development of the urban economy and the social sphere.
