Summary:This study aims to improve the skills of retelling fables through the PBL (Problem Based Learning) model for 2nd grade students at Muhammadiyah 4 Batu Elementary School. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The object of this research is the implementation of the process and the results obtained from the application of the PBL model to the skills of retelling fables. Data collection methods are observation and performance tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of data analysis, the highest score obtained by students was 92. students who got the highest score were 6 children. The lowest score is 4 children. With details of 24 students have reached the minimum completeness criteria.
