Summary:This article addresses the problem of the conceptual bond between parrhesia and bios that is central to the last area of Michel Foucault's work, focusing on how the two notions are paired in Foucault's interpretation of cynicism. It examines the place of the body in the production of logos and displacement in the relationship between body and word, between bios philosophikos and bios kynikos, in order to frame questions about the implications of Foucauldian thought for our understanding of the education of the body and education in general.
