Summary:Changes in the Location of Orthodox Churches in the Lemko Region in the 18th and 19th Centuries: Selected Examples The subject of the article is the issue of changing the location of church buildings within one village in the Lemko region in the 18th and 19th centuries. The article is based on the analysis of historical maps, written documents (mainly decanal visits) and data based on modern documentation techniques – Light Detection and Ranging. The most common reasons for the change in the location of the church were discussed using the example of selected issues – the natural construction movement, spatial development of the settlement and changes in the administrative boundaries of the parish.
