ChemInform Abstract: FeCl 3 —SiO 2 Promoted One‐Pot, Three‐Component Synthesis of Novel 1,5‐Benzodiazepine Derivatives

Abstract The title compounds (IV) are efficiently obtained by reaction of substituted 1,2‐phenylenediamines, 2‐pyridinecarboxaldehyde, and β‐keto ester using FeCl 3 —SiO 2 as a highly active and reusable catalyst.
