As a kind of the most widely-used engineering ships for dredging projects,cutter suction dredgers have functions of dredging sand(soil and rock)and transporting mud with advantages of high efficiency and good adaptability.In recent years,electric drive has been more and more important in order to meet the international trends of energy conservation and environmental protection.However,cutter suction dredgers have such features as excessive dredging equipment and complex construction conditions.Therefore,for cutter suction dredgers'power systems,it is crucial to improve the redundancy performance while completing the basic functions.Optimized redundant design can save shipbuilding costs and facilitate layout of cabins,and can also realize power distribution and control of whole-ship power equipment in a simpler and more effective way.
