Summary:Purpose. To determine the condition, structure and key predictors of job satisfaction of Ukrainian police officers. The study involved police officers of the National Police of Ukraine (age – 19-50 years, n = 203 – men, n = 52 – women). The questionnaire was applied. The results of the questionnaire were processed by mathematical statistics methods. coworkers, supervision and the nature of work. The most significant correlation is revealed between the gender and the level of satisfaction with fringe benefits, pay, operating conditions. Ukrainian subordinate police staff members less satisfied with the job than their line managers (average means are 108.2 and 117.6 respectively). The correlation matrix indicates that there are no multicollinear factors: all aspects of job satisfaction of police officers do not have a high correlation with each other (r<0.7). The multiple regression analysis confirms that the level of satisfaction with some aspects of the job (promotion, supervision, coworkers and communication) explains 82.6% of the sample. Such data can be considered the most influential predictors. The revealed condition and structure of satisfaction of Ukrainian police officers testify to its risk level and the necessity of its constant monitoring. The level of the police officers physical fitness confirmed a weak correlation with the total condition of job satisfaction. It is required a separate study devoted to the police officers, whose activities are associated with the significant physical load.
