Summary:The study reviews the creation of a new Church law and the legitimation of new denominations. After that, gypsy activists’ initiatives, primarily the establishment of colleges of advanced studies, are presented on the basis of the relevant documents. With the help of interviews, it analyzes some of the phenomena that characterize religious renewal in the Roma population. It is understood that these initiatives are new areas of community learning for the participants.
