Summary:Herbaceous plants have being very important for human consumption. Chenopodium album (fat hen) species was discovered in 12 Eneolithic and Bronze Age sites in Romania. These discoveries can suggest the usage of this plant, most probably for human consumption. Although only through discovery of a large quantity of Chenopodium album seeds, one can be sure of its utilisation, knowing the contexts’ of discoveries, the awareness of this plant’s properties and benefits for consumption can be suggested. Knowing its properties and medicinal values, in the summer of 2016 we conducted an experiment regarding the fat hen’ time of collecting and preparing the plant for using it in culinary recipes. The purpose of this experiment was to understand the dificulty degree of the plant collecting and discovering its taste.
