Summary:The article presents the first comprehensive reflections on the field research of the coronavirus crisis in the Czech Republic and also offers overlaps abroad.First, it characterizes the motivations of authors who have been studying oral history for a long time, then describes three types of sources that they have managed to obtain since March 2020 thanks to cooperation with students and graduates of the Master’s study program Oral History – Contemporary History at Faculty of Humanities, Charles University. These are mainly diary entries from the period of declared State of Emergency in the Czech Republic, photographs depicting everyday life in a pandemic and a collection of oral‑history interviews. Finally, the authors offer insight into the foreign context of their activities.
