Summary: | In the paper, evaluation of pressurized shell damage induced by laser irradiation has been done by the numerical simulation method. Basing on the finite element method, a general process of simulation of pressurized shell damage induced by laser irradiation has been given. Then, basing on the distribution of parameters, a damage evaluation has been done for cylindrical shell of steel material by Latin hypercube sampling and Monte Carlo method. The results indicate that higher inner pressure could cause the shell damage more quickly; when inner pressure is low, the shell cannot burst but pressure-releasing failure. |
