Synthesis of N-tosylguanidines by ring cleavage of 1,2-dihydro-2-tosyliminopyrimidines

The present communication discloses a new synthetic method for the preparation of N-tosylguanidines in high yields by ring cleavage of 1,2-dihydro-2-tosyliminopyrimidines with methylamine.
