Synthesis of trypsin inhibitor CMTI-III from squash seeds (Cucurbita maxima) by the application of three different sulfhydryl group protections

Trypsia inhibitor CMTI-III was synthesized by the solid-phase procedure. Fmoc chemistry was applied. Three disulfide bridges were obtained in positions C-16/C-28, C-10/C-22 and C-3/C-20 by the selective removal of different protecting groups and subsequent oxidation.
