Summary:3- Aryl-4 (2'- aminothiazol-4'-yl) sydnones 2a-m when subjected to Mannich reaction with 8-hydroxyquinoline give the triheterocyclic Mannich bases 3a-m. Similar reaction with orthohydroxy acetophenone resulted in the formation of the methylamino derivatives 4 a-m. All these compounds have been evaluated for antimicrobial activity, while compounds 3 a-m have been screened for their antitubercular activity also.
