Hydrogenation of nitrobenzenes in the presence of palladium(II) complexes with pyrazol-5-one derivatives

Hydrogenation of substituted nitrobenzenes over gamma-Al2O3-supported palladium(II) complexes with pyrazol-5-one derivatives proceeds under mild conditions and with high selectivity: the nitro group is reduced to amino, the other functional groups in the substrate molecule being retained.
