Summary: | In this article, we will demonstrate and go into details on how and why we designed an operation panel in virtual reality using gaming design, unmanned aerial vehicle, and virtual reality concepts as a part of a bigger scope serious game that aims to train new users into driving unmanned aerial vehicles to diverse situations replicated from real life. The creation of 3D assets for virtual reality environment requires the researcher to consider the application performance, being necessary to find ways to ensure we keep a steady performance while also sacrificing visual fidelity as minimum as required, our approach was to hide parts of the model not being seen in by the user and the creation of illusion with details in the asset’s material. |
