Summary: | From renewable resources through environment-friendly techniques, a pure vegetable and environmentally friendly oil was developed for electrical applications. Following the characterization of vegetable oil in comparison with commercial mineral oils, a number of functional advantages have been achieved in favour of the green product, namely: devastating explosions and fires, good compatibility with Kraft paper - low risk of environmental pollution with persistent emissions with carcinogenic effects (furfurals), increased operating safety (high breakthrough voltage), low dielectric losses and low conductivity. |
