Summary: | The increasing complexity of construction projects has led companies to seek support from project management software. Due to this increasing demand, software programs have proliferated. Eighteen commercial software systems were surveyed to identify their advanced project management capabilities. This was supplemented by experimentation with some of these systems to test their resource scheduling performance on a case study. Suggestions for software selection have been presented, and areas of improvement have been identified and discussed. |
