Summary:For expansion-contraction flow channel with various model parameters, the speed, stress and streamline distribution were studied by using two-dimensional flow model of Newtonian fluid. The results show that, at the condition of constant inlet pressure gradient, the flow model parameters determine the distribution of velocity, stress, and stream function. We analyzed the computation of expansion-contraction flow models with the same pore radius, different throat radius and different pore length. We find that pore-throat ratio and throat radius are the main factors which affect the flow field distribution, and the influence of pore length is less than them.
