Summary: | The new developments in communication technologies have expanded the Internet of Things to the Internet of Everything (IoE), with many captivating possibilities for the future, where every ‘thing’ is connected to the internet providing intelligent decision making and enhanced services. The IoE is an inclusive network of people, data, process, and IoT. The main challenges faced by IoE are the limited network resources and network coverage constraints. The implementation of IoE includes technical innovations in multi‐disciplinary domains like low power communication, data analytics, sensor‐based embedded systems and data storage technologies. In recent decades, the advanced technological innovations open the way for the building the required optimum technologies in implementing IoE. Similarly, a significant technology drift in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with low cost, high mobility and flexible deployments has capabilities to conquer the challenges faced in IoE. This article presents an inclusive survey on challenges and opportunities of IoE enabled UAVs. The review of technologies enabling this opportunities such as battery constraint, security issues, computing and coverage constraints are addressed with an overview of UAVs. Finally the IoE enabled UAV technology is studied by UAVs' deployment and mobility with IoE's intelligence, scalability and diversity. |
