Summary:Abstract The family, from the Organizational Studies, is not considered as an organization, since it does not have basic elements that it requires: a group of people and associated groups to produce goods or services, among others. [...]from a psychoanalytic perspective, the research sought to show that various factors existing in formal organizations, implicitly or explicitly, coexist as part of them and are closely related to introjected elements of origin by the subject from the family. Under a qualitative methodological perspective, a case study was conducted in a family business of clinical laboratories. The findings indicate that members, blood relatives or not, can reproduce behaviors and behaviors in family organizational spaces and establish emotional ties, in addition to collaborating on the expected economic objectives.
