Summary:Water is a vital resource to life, in all living beings and it is present even with the cycle that realizes it can no longer be regarded as inexhaustible human activities degrade this natural resource every day. The vision for the watershed that supplies millions of people in the metropolis of Sao Paulo is essential to ensure quality of supply public. O site chosen for the job is the dam of Paulo Paiva Castro, part of Cantareira System and it is a region that still presents a good condition of preservation but already suffering from urban occupation since it was situated in the municipality of Mairipora, the Greater Sao Paulo. The study aims to analyze the aspects of quality of wastewater to a portion of the population and demonstrate the importance of conservation of wealth.
