Summary:Metal injection moulding has traditionally been used to produce small net shape parts of less than 25 g. An aqueous binder has been developed that not only is more environmentally friendly than conventional binders but also offers the ability to produce large, thick parts in the 2 kg weight range, competitive with those produced by investment casting.
