Summary: | All around the world, from Cambodia to Uganda or Iceland to India, motorbike tours became a unique way to explore a region's off the beaten track routes with traditional villages and beautiful landscapes. Real-time data, are changing people's attitude towards this new possibility of people to explore and interact with locals. Cellular phones applications connected to social networks such as Facebook or YouTube, allow people to use geographical media as a means for visualizing information. This paper proves that Transylvanian motorbike tours can develop a new type of creative tourism with small community's involvement and for locals benefit. The findings of this paper are related to the use of Facebook and YouTube as tools to develop Transylvanian motorbike tourism with regards to the cultural and natural resources visualised using aerial and satellite images. |
