Summary: | The distributed amplifiers based on the active coupling of two artificial composed right/left-handed transmission lines can give rise to a dual-band/diplexer performance. This reported work shows that it is possible to improve the isolation between bands by means of a nonuniform distribution of the devices' transconductance. The theoretical basis of this approach is presented as well as an experimental validation, where improvements of more than 10 dB in the isolation are obtained. |
