Introduction Test of Flue-cured Tobacco Varieties from Abroad in Heilongjiang Province

In order to select new flue-cured tobacco varieties suitable for Heilongjiang flue-cured tobacco areas, a comparative trail of 7 new American and Brazilian fluecured tobacco varieties were conducted, using NC89 as control. The results showed that, the comprehensive economic characters and appearance quality of PVH2310 were the best, which had early maturation, strong disease resistance, the highest yield, output value, average price and ratio of first-class tobacco. Compared with the check variety NC89, the leaf yield, output value, average price and ratio of first-class tobacco of PVH2310 can increase by 5.41%, 25.08%, 24.16% and 13.25%, respectively, it had favorable characters of yield, quality, resistance, adaptability and economic efficacy, and the comprehensive characters of them were superior to those of NC89 as a check variety. In addition, the comprehensive economic characters and appearance quality of the introduced variety NC-YATAS-2 were as good as these of NC89 as a check variety.
