Summary: | The analyses, results and policy recommendations presented in this paper are part of the European project SUSPLAN (PLANning for SUStainability; www.susplan.eu) focusing on long-term grid infrastructure integration strategies of renewable generation technologies up to the year 2050. The SUSPLAN project not only deals with future renewable deployment storylines in different European regions (in terms of installed renewable capacities and renewable electricity and heat generation) but also takes into account the corresponding grid infrastructure needs (electricity, heat and gas grids) both on regional and trans-national level. |
