Summary: | [...]we did find literature on service learning in libraries. Since the term of American Library Association (ALA) presidency of Nancy Kranich in 2000, the value of service learning in the library and civic engagement has been considered in a number of articles. Since not all the students in her class were in the formal learning community, she could see a vast difference in student engagement between the in-group and the not-in-group. [...]the link between these basic library tasks and pastoral formation is forged in accordance with the expressed pastoral formation goal of the seminary college: "In order to grow in their understanding of how to be 'servant-leaders,' seminarians are engaged in a wide variety of ministry experiences. [...]that my experience in serving the library has come to an end, I thank God for the opportunity. Since working in the library, I have learned a wealth of knowledge from those who have taught me, and I have loved every moment of the service the Lord called me to perform. |
