Summary:The Romanian textile and clothing articles industry has known an interesting evolution after 1989, characterized through a series of elements that are common with the evolution in the field at the level of European or world market, being present however several factors that specifically influence the market in general and imports and exports especially. In this article, authors analyze textile products and clothing articles imports and exports determinants using combined statistics and data series regarding the main identified variables. The article conclusions point out possible courses of action designed to optimize the flow of exports and imports, development of balanced trade policies in the field of textile and clothing articles.
