Summary: | Efficient Retrieval tools are a requirement in the era where the digital data is exponentially growing. Content-based image retrieval techniques have a significant role to play in the discipline of image retrieval rather than text based information retrieval techniques. The text based techniques are not suitable to give the satisfactory results as an image contains such features which are not easily detected by textual query. The current work aims to provide an efficient medical image data retrieval technique from a large pool of medical database which can be categorized into big data. The features used are the image shape, edges and patches which are helpful to extract feature vectors. |
