Summary: | An earlier theory on the same subject was reformulated so as to exhibit the scaling behavior inherent in the free energy functional. In this way, the domain size of mesophases behaving as the two-thirds power of the polymerization index is naturally recovered. The higher order long-range interactions of the parameter field are found not to be small and indicate a need to accurately calculate free energies in various mesophases, which is a purely geometrical problem in the strong segregation limit of the symmetric block copolymer model. 11 ref.--AA |
